I wrote this song in order to attract visitors and workers to London. I started writing down all the most compelling things I could think about this city that I've been living in for the last few years and, perhaps, I got a bit off track.

Where else can you find a place where everybody knows that there's no
Point to eating toast without a smashed avocado
Where else do people brag about the zone in which they dwell?
I call this place my home, I brag about that stuff as well

VERSE

With the underground there's nowhere that you cannot get
The central line is great for working up a healthy sweat
And if the weather's terrible, don't ever you despair
As long as leaves aren't on the track you'll probably get there

D'you want to talk to any charming local folk, perchance?
[Spoken] Well please don't talk to strangers under any circumstance (they don't like it)
But taxi drivers will oblige, no shadow of a doubt
You'll be surprised what charming tabloid nonsense they can spout

Wildlife is everywhere I saw a rat outside my house as big as a koala bear

If you think you can afford, 900 quid for bed and board
It's got a shower in the kitchen and the mattress is 5 years older than you

Of course there's many positives
Diverse and very inclusive
And our favourite subject's weather
Which is handy, cause it rains
And yet I still complain....
And I've earned that right from living in this overcrowded, superficial town
